Tip: you can automate formula insertion with Update Row/Sheet actions in Sheet Automation. Check out this recipe.

From Formula to Automation

Formulas are great, but Automation takes it to the next level.

Alerts & Notifications

Formula: =IF(B2="Urgent", "Notify", "")
Automation: Send an email or Slack message instantly when a cell value changes to "Urgent".

See Recipe
Cross-Sheet Sync

Formula: =IMPORTRANGE(...)
Automation: Automatically copy rows to another sheet or sync data without complex, heavy formulas.

Scheduled Actions

Formula: =IF(A2 < TODAY(), "Overdue", "")
Automation: Archive old rows, send overdue reminders, or generate daily reports automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a free service

Yes, it is FREE. However there will be a usage limit as every generation will cost us money.

Why sign in

There are more functions for users who sign in. For example, you can use AI to analyze a formula. We are also thinking to add more features and increase quota.

How does the usage limit work?

The usage limit will diff based on user type. For anonymous users it will be applied on IP address. For signed up users, it will be applied on email address.

What to do with the generated formula

The AI can not guarantee to generate correct formula. You are supposed to copy the formula to your sheet and verify its correctness by yourself.

How to write prompt for AI effectively

1. State the problem clearly

Start by describing the problem you want to solve with the formula. Provide as much detail as possible about the data you are working with, the calculations you need to perform, and any specific requirements or constraints.

2. Provide relevant context

Give the AI model relevant context about the data you are working with. This includes information about the structure of your data, any formulas you have already used, and any other relevant information that will help the model generate a more accurate formula.

3. Define the inputs and outputs

Clearly define the inputs and outputs of the formula. This will help the AI model understand what data it needs to work with and what results it should be aiming for.

4. Use specific language

Use precise language that describes the type of calculation or manipulation you want the formula to perform. Avoid using vague or ambiguous terms that could lead to confusion.

5. Provide examples

Provide examples of the type of input data you will be working with and the expected output from the formula. This will help the AI model understand the problem and generate more accurate formulas.

6. Keep it simple

Avoid using overly complex language or technical jargon. Keep the prompt simple and easy to understand, so the AI model can focus on generating accurate formulas.
